As of last week , 102 people had already booked into the Ommaroo for next years Festival of Pool. I find it pretty amazing that one third of these bookings are from the fairer - because I am a smarmy so and so ;) - sex !. Whilst this is great news for the Festival as it now promises to be a record attendance as far as the ladies are concerned , I would appreciate comments from the girls as to why you have entered in such numbers ? ...

Is it because there are two ladies events ?. Is it the fact that you can actually enter more events than the men ?. Or better still , are you coming just for the crack! More importantly, how many more of you are coming ?!!!. It would appear by the comments of the ladies at the Nations event last weekend that I popped down to , that there is quite a few more of you on the way - in particular the boozing monsters from Wales and Scotland ( and Jesus could you lot drink - it was scary!! ). It's not a case of under the table , you all would have me six foot under if I even tried to keep up with you at half pace!!. One thing is for sure though - the mixed doubles that I promised could be huge... Still , as discussed elsewhere, I am unsure of the exact playing criteria , but as far as acceptable entry fees go what would you recommend - £10 , £20 a couple.. ? Because of the numbers already booked and those still to do so , what I want to know as I mentioned above is why !!!. I get the impression following numerous comments, that you feel there is not enough being done for the girls generally outside of the big national events. I for one don't mind doing anything for the ladies ( within reason ! ) in order to ensure you have a great time. So any comments or suggestions you have for future Festivals - even if it's too late to implement for February - then please fire away. I will listen !!.
