PPPO European Tour - Filling Fast - 2005-07-18 14:46:00

Well we are now less than 4 weeks away from the very first event of the European Tour and an exciting prospect it looks too. With 50 new players already registered we only now have only 20 spaces left, which I believe is fantastic news.

We are still expect to get close to our target of 96 within the next two weeks which will be a remarkable achievement in our first year of the all new European Tour. Remember all those years ago when the I.P.A started out they only had about 32 players at their first event and look where they are now…

We also amongst our players have some young and exciting new professionals who I am sure are going to cause more than the odd upset with our existing pros.

The venue for the first event is the Heritage Hotel, which looks fantastic what with it being completely re-furbished just recently. I am sure the players will be more than happy with the Hotel and its value for money.

Play is set to begin on Friday evening at 9.00pm with the draw being done at 8.00pm. All draws after the first event will be done 2 weeks prior to the event.

For those early birds and local players we will be running flyers from 6.00pm and continue to do so throughout the evening and weekend time permitting.

Closing date for entries is 1st August so anyone still thinking about entering should get a move on if they don’t want to miss out on what looks to be a fantastic new beginning for the P.P.P.O.

I would like to remind those who have sent in application forms with deposits that the balance is also due by 1st August. We are also looking now for people to book their accommodation requirements as soon as possible.
